Chauffitherm publishes its prices for a simple reason: nobody likes asking “how much will this cost?” with the boiler already stripped down. The list below is the one we apply in Brussels, Wallonia and Flanders, with no variation by neighbourhood or by how urgent your call is.
A job is made up of two things. Travel first, charged at €35 once per visit, whatever the day and time. Then the work itself, costed in the tables below, to which parts are added if one has to be replaced.
Nothing starts without your agreement. The engineer makes the diagnosis, tells you the amount, and only begins work once you have said yes. If a part has to be ordered, you find out then, with the timing and the cost — not on the invoice.
The amounts shown cover the standard job described opposite. Here is exactly what they include, and what may be added.
A price written “from” is not a vague range: it is the price of the standard job, the one settled in a single visit with the equipment in the van. As soon as your situation differs, the engineer tells you the real price before acting.
Many firms charge travel by the kilometre, or split their area into price bands. We chose the opposite: €35, whether you live in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, Wavre or Vilvoorde.
That is a deliberate choice. A customer further away should not pay more than a neighbour for the same repair, and nobody should have to decode a map of pricing zones before daring to pick up the phone.
This amount appears on the invoice as a separate line. So you can check, at every visit, that it has not moved — including at night, on Sundays and on public holidays.
Check that your municipality is coveredThe prices on this page exclude VAT. The rate applied to your invoice depends on your home, not on us: the rule is set by Belgian law.
If the property was completed more than ten years ago, is used as private housing and the invoice is in your name, the reduced rate of 6% applies to renovation and maintenance work, including labour and materials supplied by the contractor.
For a building less than ten years old, business premises, or the supply of materials alone without fitting, the standard rate of 21% applies.
The rate applied is stated on the invoice. If you are not sure about your situation, tell us before the work: we check it together rather than discovering it afterwards.
No. Drawing up a quote is free, whether you accept it or not. What is charged is the €35 travel when an engineer has to come out to make a diagnosis. A rough figure given over the phone, by email or after a photo sent on WhatsApp costs nothing.
Yes. The €35 covers the journey and the diagnosis, which did take place. You remain entirely free to refuse the repair: in that case you pay the travel and nothing else, and you are left with an explanation of the fault and what it would have cost.
The method of payment is agreed with us before the work: tell us what suits you when you book. In every case, a detailed invoice in the name of Chauffitherm is issued for the work carried out.
Yes. Every job results in an invoice in the name of Chauffitherm, with company number 0669.686.812, the date, and details of the work and any parts replaced. That is the document insurers, managing agents and landlords ask for in the event of water damage or a claim.
6% if your home was completed more than ten years ago and is used as private housing, 21% in other cases: a recent building, business premises, or a supply without fitting. The prices shown on this page exclude VAT; the rate is calculated on the final invoice.
Travel stays at €35, whatever the time or the day: it is the same amount on a Tuesday morning as on a Sunday at 11pm. Any surcharges for an emergency callout are shown in the tables above and are stated before we start.
