Since 2017 Chauffitherm has worked on everything that moves water and heat around a building: the boiler, the heating circuit, the radiators, hot water production, the sanitary pipework and the waste. Seven trades, but one team and one number.

Which service for which symptom?

You rarely arrive with the name of a trade in mind — more often with a symptom.

Nobody wakes up thinking “what I need is a power flush”. You notice a radiator that stays cold, a bill that climbs, a smell that lingers. Here is the link between what you are seeing, the most common cause and the page that covers it.

No more hot water at the tap

The boiler is no longer producing domestic hot water: ignition, temperature sensor or a limescaled heat exchanger. The most common reason people call in winter.

The boiler shows an error code and locks out

The code points the diagnosis but does not replace it: circuit pressure, flue gases, pump or valve. The system has to be read on site.

A radiator warm at the top, cold at the bottom

Metal sludge has settled in the bottom of the radiator and is blocking circulation. Bleeding is not enough: the circuit has to be flushed.

A blockage of grease, hair or limescale, sometimes further down the riser. Snake or high-pressure jetting depending on where it is.

Past a certain age, the repairs add up to more than the cost of replacing. We cost both before you decide.

A flue that is dirty or partly blocked. To be dealt with without delay: it carries a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Why put heating and sanitary in the same hands

Many faults sit exactly on the border between the two trades. A lack of hot water can come from the boiler or from the cylinder's safety group. When the heating engineer and the plumber are two different firms, you are the one arbitrating — and you pay both.

One travel charge

Travel is €35, once, even when the job touches both the boiler and the pipework. With two contractors, one problem costs you two travel charges.

Nobody to coordinate

No passing the buck between the one who says it comes from the circuit and the one who says it comes from the boiler. We open both and settle it during the same visit.

Someone who knows your system

The annual service, next winter's breakdown and the replacement in five years all go through the same person. Nothing to explain again: the history is known.

It is also what makes the quote readable: one company, one invoice, one person to call if something needs putting right.

How much is the travel charge?

€35, flat. The amount is the same on weekdays, at weekends, at night and on public holidays, in Brussels as in Wallonia and Flanders. It is added to the price of the work, which is stated before we start.

Do you come out at weekends and on public holidays?

Yes, 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, Sundays and public holidays included. Travel stays at €35 whatever the hour; a €30 surcharge applies to work outside business hours, stated before we set off.

Does a boiler have to be serviced every year?

Periodic servicing is a legal obligation in Belgium, and most insurers ask for proof of it in the event of a claim. The exact frequency depends on the fuel and the Region: we tell you during the visit and hand you the official certificate on site.

Do you work on my make of boiler?

We repair all the common brands. Six of them have their own page, the ones we follow most closely: Bulex, Vaillant, Junkers, Viessmann, Atlantic and Remeha. On those, we fit original manufacturer parts.

How quickly do you come out?

For an emergency in Brussels, our aim is to be with you within two hours. Elsewhere, as for anything that is not urgent, we fix an appointment on the phone, often the same day or the next.

Do you give free quotes?

Yes. The quote is free and detailed for anything that can be costed in advance: boiler replacement, plumbing work, power flushing. You can ask for it through the form on this page or by phone.

Do you work outside Brussels?

Yes: the 19 Brussels municipalities, Wallonia and Flanders. Travel stays at €35 whatever the distance.
